• The Vinyl: 100% perfect, high original gloss, never played. No factory defects, scuffs, or marks whatsoever.
• The Jacket: If sealed, shrink wrap is tight with no tears. If open, the jacket looks like it was just printed today—sharp corners, pristine edges, zero creases or fading.
• Reseller Note: Use this grade very rarely for unsealed vintage records. Almost nothing vintage is truly "Mint."

A nearly perfect record that has been handled with extreme care.

• The Vinyl: Retains full original gloss. No visible marks, scratches, scuffs, or finger smudges. Plays flawlessly with zero background surface noise. Center hole is perfectly round with no spindle trail marks.
• The Jacket: Looks like you just brought it home from the record store and carefully unwrapped it. No creases, no seam splits, no ring wear, and no cut-out holes/punches.

The sweet spot for online collectors. Shows light use but sounds fantastic.

• The Vinyl: Shows minor signs of handling. May have light paper scuffs or very faint surface scratches (hairlines) that do not affect play. Might have a slight warp that doesn’t impact tracking. Playback is clean, with only very minor, faint background crackle in quiet intros, but nothing that distracts from the music.
• The Jacket: Clean and attractive but shows slight shelf wear. May have a tiny, unobtrusive cut-out hole or corner clip (indicating it was old retail stock). Might have very light ring wear, minor corner dings, or a tiny seam split (less than 1 inch).

A typical well-loved, played copy. Still decent, but visually and audibly used.

• The Vinyl: Obvious signs of use. Has visible surface scratches, scuffs, and a loss of original gloss. When played, it will have noticeable surface noise, pops, and clicks—especially during quiet passages or between tracks—but it must play through completely without skipping.
• The Jacket: Shows moderate wear. Ring wear is obvious and distracting. Edges are worn, and it likely has prominent seam splits (often taped or split on the spine/bottom). May feature writing (like a previous owner's name), price stickers, or small tears.

In the record world, "Good" means rough. A placeholder or play copy.

• The Vinyl: Heavily worn, scratched, and scuffed. Grooves may look greyish or worn out. It will play through without skipping, but it will come with heavy, constant surface noise, loud crackles, and popping.
• The Jacket: Heavily damaged. Massive seam splits, large amounts of tape, heavy water staining, tearing, or severe ring wear where the ink has completely rubbed off the cardboard.
